Definition of Hypertension
Hypertension is also called high blood pressure. This condition can be known by diligently checking blood pressure. For adults, a minimum of blood is checked every five years.

Risk factors for hypertension
As we get older, the chances of developing hypertension will increase. The following are the triggering factors that can influence the increased risk of hypertension:

Above 65 years old.

Consume a lot of salt.

Overweight.

Having a family with hypertension.

Eat less fruits and vegetables.

Rarely exercise.

Drink too much coffee (or other drinks that contain caffeine).

Too much alcohol.

The risk of hypertension can be prevented by eating foods with good nutrition and changing lifestyles into healthier lifestyles.


Causes of Hypertension
The main cause of hypertension is an increase in blood pressure in the body. Based on this, hypertension is also often referred to as high blood pressure. Hypertension is generally suffered by someone over the age of 65 years. Increased blood pressure is of course caused by several risk factors, such as obesity, consuming too much salt, consuming too much fatty and oily food.
