Although it tastes good and refreshing, it turns out that this current drink has a high sugar content so it must be consumed at a reasonable amount. If consumed in excess is not impossible it can be harmful to health. Most consuming sugar can cause various diseases ranging from toothaches to heart disease. The following 5 diseases are caused by excessive sugar consumption:

Broken Teeth
Consuming too much sugar can damage teeth. Although the real cause of cavities is not sugar, but bacteria that live in the mouth. These bacteria eat carbohydrates, for which sugar is one, and produce acids. The more sugar is eaten, the pH condition of the mouth will be more acidic and decay occurs faster.

If left unchecked, acid mixed with saliva will form plaque that eats away at the outside of the teeth and makes cavities. When the hole has reached the third layer or pulp which consists of blood vessels and nerves will cause extreme pain.

Causes Diabetes
It is common knowledge, excessive sugar consumption plus an unhealthy lifestyle is the main cause of diabetes. It's not just sugar that causes diabetes, it can be due to excess fat or abnormal pancreas. However, it cannot be denied that excessive sugar levels can disrupt the insulin system and increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Gain Weight To Obesity
Unwittingly, sugar affects one's appetite control system, so it can make you complacent and can't stop consuming other sweet foods. This can cause weight gain because the calories consumed will exceed the normal limits needed by the body.

The more you consume foods and drinks that contain sugar, the more calories you consume, and the more fat is buried in your stomach and waist.

Increasing the Risk of Cancer Formation
Actually every human has the potential for cancer cells in his body. However, naturally the body will kill the cancer cells so that they do not develop into dangerous cancers. This natural mechanism can be disrupted if you consume excessive sugar because sugar is a favorite food for cancer cells. Therefore consuming too much sugar can reduce the chance of life for people with cancer, especially colon cancer and breast cancer.

Increases Risk of Heart Disease
Finally, excessive sugar consumption is closely related to the risk of heart disease. Too much sugar consumption causes obesity, inflammation and high blood pressure which disrupt the heart's mechanism in pumping blood. This is the same as sugar causing an increased risk of heart disease.
